PRODUCT DETAILS
The Cellulose Dish Sponge with Coconut Scrubber is an incredible natural alternative to the standard synthetic dish sponges and plastic brushes. This sponge is compostable in a home setting, and is made of plant cellulose for the sponge, along with coconut coir fibers and natural latex for the scrubber, and is sewn together with cotton thread (rather than the synthetic glue used in most sponges). It’s perfect for cleaning all your dishes, delicate enough for non-stick coated pots and pans, yet strong enough to remove stuck on food residue. Even better, the coconut coir used on the scrubber has natural antibacterial properties, which helps prevent the formation and growth of harmful bacteria that often thrive on synthetic dish sponges! Use alongside your favorite natural dish soap for an environmentally friendly spin to your dish chores!
Sponge measures 3 in x 4 in. Over time, the sponge and scrubber will break down (as all cleaning supplies do), but without leaving a nasty trail of tiny plastic particles on your dishes and hands. We’ve added extra stitching to keep the coconut coir scrubber in place for longer, prolonging the lifespan of the scrubber. At the end of its life, simply tear or cut up the remaining sponge and scrubber, and add it in with the rest of your compost to decompose naturally.
Made in India in a ISO 9001 and 14001 Certified Facility.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
After each use, squeeze out excess water and allow the sponge to fully dry between uses, replacing the sponge every 3-4 weeks for the best cleaning experience. To clean, toss the sponge in the dishwasher (top rack) or laundry (in an Organic Cotton Laundry Bag), as it is machine washable up to 200°F (95°C).
